Muscat, February 22, 2025 — A significant delegation of Uzbek businesswomen is set to arrive in Oman next Tuesday, marking a pivotal moment for economic collaboration between the two nations. Led by Nodira Shah Tursunova, Vice President of the Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce, this delegation comprises around 20 businesswomen hailing from diverse sectors including real estate, design, electrical engineering, textiles, private education, medicine, and import-export.
Strengthening Bilateral Relations: A Focus on Economic and Cultural Cooperation
The initiative underscores a concerted effort to bolster the ties between Uzbekistan and Oman across various domains. H.E. Abdulsalam Hatamov, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Oman, emphasized that this visit is crucial for enhancing economic and cultural relations. In partnership with the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Uzbekistan Embassy has meticulously curated a comprehensive program.
A Day-Rich Agenda: Meetings, Workshops, and Exhibitions
The delegation’s itinerary includes strategic meetings with key stakeholders in both public and private sectors across Oman. Additionally, they are scheduled to visit several commercial enterprises, fostering direct business interactions and potential partnerships. A highlight of the program is the series of workshops led by skilled Uzbek embroidery artisans set to take place in Muscat.
Showcasing Culture and Fashion: Bridging Artisans and Industry Leaders
The cultural exchange will further be enriched through a fashion show, presented by representatives from Uzbekistan's vibrant textile and design industries. This event is anticipated to offer insights into the innovative fusion of traditional crafts with modern design aesthetics.
Business Forum: A Platform for Economic Dialogue
A pivotal component of the visit involves an exclusive business forum where Omani and Uzbek businesswomen will convene to deliberate on avenues for economic cooperation and investment opportunities. This dialogue is expected to build upon last year's milestone when both nations signed a cooperation agreement, paving the way for ongoing exchange programs and business forums.
As this delegation embarks on its journey, it promises to lay down new pathways for mutual growth and understanding, reinforcing Oman and Uzbekistan’s commitment to fostering robust economic partnerships.
