In a significant humanitarian effort, the United Arab Emirates has launched its largest aid mission to date with the deployment of the Zayed Humanitarian Ship. This ship, named in honor of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, is delivering over 6,000 tonnes of essential supplies to support Palestinians in Gaza.

As part of Operation Gallant Knight III, this initiative marks a major escalation in aid delivery efforts by the UAE. The mission includes comprehensive packages containing food, medical supplies, and shelter materials, demonstrating the UAE's commitment to aiding Palestinian communities during challenging times. Over 570 airlifts and six sea shipments have been conducted, with the Zayed Ship carrying one of the largest single cargo loads.

Beyond material aid, the UAE is enhancing health services by setting up field hospitals in Gaza and a floating hospital near Arish port in Egypt. These facilities are providing critical care to thousands, including children, women, and the elderly.

The mission also involves strategic desalination projects and targeted initiatives like 'The Birds of Goodness' to ensure clean water access in remote northern Gaza areas. The UAE's efforts have resulted in delivering over 55,143.8 tonnes of aid through 3,412 truckloads from Egypt to Gaza.

These health facilities are significantly contributing to the cause by treating thousands of patients; for instance, the floating hospital has treated 9,661 cases with 100 beds available, while the field hospital in Gaza has treated over 50,489 cases with 200 beds.
