The Tunisian Social Observatory, affiliated with the Tunisian Forum for Economic and Social Rights, has released a report on violent incidents in January 2025. The report revealed that violence continues to be driven by a desire for revenge, humiliation, and devaluation of others.

Violent incidents were recorded across all regions, with males accounting for 46% of victims and 82% of perpetrators. The majority of the reported incidents (75%) were classified as criminal acts, followed by institutional violence at 15% and economic violence at 5%. The report also noted that some incidents took on more brutal and cruel forms, such as a father killing his wife and son by beheading them or a young man pouring gasoline on a nurse. The findings of the report provide insight into the patterns and motivations behind violent incidents in Tunisia.
