Seismic monitoring stations recorded a third earthquake in the city of Meknassy, Sidi Bouzid Governorate, on the evening of Tuesday, February 4, 2025. The quake had a magnitude of 2.5 on the Richter scale. According to Abdelmajid Douzi, head of the meteorological station in Sidi Bouzid, the preliminary analysis determined the epicentre to be east of Meknassy at coordinates 34.56° latitude and 9.68° longitude.

It is worth noting that the area previously experienced a first earthquake on Monday, February 3, 2025, with a magnitude of 4.9 at 10:45 AM, followed by a second aftershock of 2.6 magnitude at 5:11 PM.
