Omani-Jordanian Maritime Committee Reviews Cooperation

The Joint Omani-Jordanian Maritime Committee reviewed aspects of cooperation in the maritime sector in Muscat. The committee discussed means of enhancing the partnership between the two countries in safety and security, marine environment protection, maritime education and training.

The two sides stressed the importance of continuous coordination and joint work to develop the maritime transport system and enhance integration between departments in both countries. The meeting also discussed mechanisms for activating the maritime transport agreement and a memorandum of mutual recognition of seafarers' certificates of eligibility.
