The Oman Human Rights Commission participated as an observer in the 55th session of the Arab Permanent Human Rights Committee, held in Kuwait. The session addressed pressing human rights concerns in the Arab world, including violations in occupied Palestinian territories and discussions on strengthening cooperation among member states to implement recommendations from the Arab Charter on Human Rights Committee.
Key areas of discussion included the protection of vulnerable groups, particularly families and children. The meeting concluded with a series of recommendations emphasizing the need for enhanced joint Arab efforts to develop human rights policies and promote regional solidarity in support of Arab causes. The Omani delegation also approved the guiding implementation plan for the Arab Human Rights Strategy.
