The Zayed Award for Human Fraternity is currently inviting nominations to honor individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to global humanitarian efforts. The deadline for submissions is October 1, 2025, via the award's official website.

Initiated after a landmark meeting between Pope Francis and Grand Imam Ahmed Al-Tayeb in Abu Dhabi, this prestigious award continues to celebrate those who embody the values of human fraternity as championed by Sheikh Zayed. It recognizes efforts across various fields including healthcare, sustainability, education, refugee support, community development, youth empowerment, and women's empowerment.

In its sixth year, the award has already recognized 16 global leaders for their transformative contributions. Among the latest awardees are Barbados Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley for her leadership in climate action; World Central Kitchen, founded by Chef Jose Andres, for providing food relief during crises; and Heman Bekele, a young innovator known for his work on affordable healthcare solutions.

Those eligible to submit nominations include academics, public figures, spiritual leaders, government officials, and NGO heads. The 2026 edition of the Zayed Award seeks to honor those who are driving meaningful change worldwide, fostering unity and compassion across communities.
