Egypt Asserts Great Interest in Ties with Mozambique

Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdelatty has asserted the greater interest of Egypt in its relations with Mozambique. This came after a visit by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to Mozambique in 2023, during which the foreign minister congratulated Mozambique's new Minister of Foreign Affairs Maria Manuela dos Santos Lucas on her appointment.

The two ministers discussed ways to boost bilateral relations and promote ongoing cooperation between the two countries. Egypt remains committed to supporting Mozambique's efforts to combat terrorism, and preparations are underway for the first round of political consultations between the two nations this year.
