The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has introduced a new policy to bolster Arabic language education in early childhood centers across Dubai. This initiative is designed to foster bilingual proficiency among children, encompassing both native speakers and learners of Arabic as a second language.

The policy emphasizes interactive learning through play-based methods and culturally relevant activities, ensuring that at least one-third of instructional time is devoted to engaging Arabic lessons led by qualified teachers. Additionally, the updated curriculum requires schools and nurseries to support language development with well-qualified educators and encourages parental involvement in reinforcing language skills at home. These changes will be implemented starting September 2025 or April 2026, depending on each school's academic calendar.
