A significant gathering of over 135 Indian school alumni recently took place in Manama. The event was orchestrated by the Bahrain India Alumni Association (BIAA) to celebrate the shared experiences and cherished memories from their school days. This reunion highlighted the enduring connections formed during their educational journey.
The association's chairperson, Sushil Choksi, remarked on how these reunions act as a bridge connecting individuals back to their roots and old friendships. He emphasized that schools are not just places for academic learning but pivotal environments where lifelong bonds are established.
Several attendees shared heartfelt stories about their days at school. For instance, Rajesh Kumar recounted his time as the captain of his sports team, describing how those experiences taught him leadership skills. Another attendee, Priya Sharma, mentioned organizing cultural events that enhanced her organizational abilities.
The association has been actively organizing such events since 2003 and aims to foster a sense of community among alumni. It plans to continue these efforts, with future reunions slated across various locations in the region.
